This leporello book is a collaboration with book artist and poet Susan Collard. The book came about as a series of mailings across the continental United States between the two artists. The pages for the book kept growing and changing as it was mailed back and forth and each artist kept adding on to it. The book eventually became a record, so to speak, of events in the daily lives of the artists. Thus its title “Tagebuch” or Daybook, whereas “fissures” alludes to geologic events that happened during the making of the book.
